Man scalded with cooking oil
A CHIVHU married man was on Wednesday scalded with cooking oil for allegedly bedding his friend’s wife.
Gilbert is battling for his life in a hospital after sustaining serious burns on his head, shoulder and chest.
One of his friends, only identified as Muchenje, was arrested in connection with the case. Gilbert, popularly known in Chivhu town for selling electrical gadgets, was reported to have been bedding Muchenje’s wife.
Mashonaland East deputy provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Milton Mudembe, promised to furnish H-Metro with detail after receiving full information.
“A report of assault in connection with scalding of a man with cooking oil was lodged and we are yet to receive all the details,” said Ass Insp Mundembe.
The news is now awash in the small town and circulating in WhatsApp groups.
