Zimbos nabbed in Botswana for stealing solar panels
Two Zimbabwean thieves who illegally crossed to Botswana on a stealing spree were yesterday jailed by Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware
Lotlo Ngwenya (29) and James Ncube (26) were sentenced to two years behind bars after stealing solar panels, batteries and a control box.
The magistrate conditionally suspended 12 months.
Prosecutor Voster Makuwerere told the court that on October 23 the duo went to Matshelagabel farm in Botswana and stole 6 solar panels batteries and a control box.
After discovering that they could not carry their loot they dug and hid some of the items in a pit.
A police report was filed and investigations led to the arrest of the duo.
