“Diaspora Babies”: A Fierce Argument Between A Zimbabwean Mother & Daughter in the UK Amuses Zimbabweans – watch video – A heated altercation between a Zimbabwean mother residing in the United Kingdom and her daughter has left netizens online in stitches.

An unnamed Zimbabwean mother was driving her 14-year-old daughter, Meme, to school in her SUV, despite her reluctance to do so.

Meme was running late for school, and her mother had to acquiesce to accompany her. She hurriedly got dressed in her nightdress, head cap, and fur gown, without even bathing.

As they drove, the mother asked her daughter for the time, and upon discovering that it was 8.45 AM, she became increasingly furious.

The mother went on to recount how she provided her daughter with a monthly allowance of £100 [US$128], of which £50 was reserved for taxis to and from school. In the hilarious video, the mother vented her frustration at her daughter’s inability to hail a taxi, citing it as an inconvenience on a chilly morning.

Meme attempted to calm her mother down, as she commented and reacted to her mother’s statement, amidst her heavy Zimbabwean accent. Zimbos amused themselves with the viral video of the hilarious ‘diaspora’ incident.
