The Zimbabwean music scene is well-known for being highly competitive and often stressful, which means that musicians are under intense pressure to produce music and perform at their best continuously. As a result, it is not uncommon for artists to experience burnout or other mental health problems.

Takura’s announcement has been met by support from fellow artists and fans alike, who have applauded his decision to prioritize his health. The musician has received numerous messages of support, with many wishing him the best as he takes time away from his career to focus on his well-being.

However, this is not the first time the pop star Takura has made this shocking announcement that he was retiring from making music after a catalogue of hit tracks.

Last year in October, he hinted on hanging the boots but ended up releasing an EP.

Could this also be a PR stance? Lets wait and see.
