Nollywood Icon Amaechi Muonagor Passes Away at Age 61 – Renowned Nollywood veteran, Amaechi Muonagor, has passed away at 62 following an extended illness, as confirmed by social commentator Morris Monye on Sunday.

Muonagor battled kidney failure and underwent dialysis before his demise, which came shortly after a video circulated where he appealed for funds for a kidney transplant.

Monye expressed deep sorrow, highlighting Muonagor’s remarkable talent and the community’s efforts to support his healthcare journey, emphasizing the pressing need for improved healthcare in the nation.

Born on August 20, 1962, Muonagor hailed from Idemili, Anambra State. He made significant contributions to Nollywood as both an actor and producer, earning a nomination for Best Actor in a comedy at the AMVCA 2017.

After completing his youth service in 1989, Muonagor transitioned from working at the News Agency of Nigeria to pursue his passion for acting, leaving a lasting legacy on screens across Nigeria.
