Man (54) Rap€s Neighbour’s Daughter (7)

A 54-year-old Harare man reportedly rap€d and infected his seven-year-old neighbour with a s€xually transmitted disease.

Maxwell Pariwa appeared before the court facing two counts of rap€ after he allegedly rap€d his seven-year-old neighbour on two occasions.

It is alleged that Pariwa took advantage of the absence of the girl’s mother who had gone to her rural home and sneaked into the girl’s house at night and rap€d her.

The court heard that before committing the alleged offence, Pariwa duct-tapped the girl’s mouth and tied her hands with a rope.

The matter came to light after the girl narrated her ordeal to her mother after having contracted a s€xually transmitted disease due to the abuse.

Pariwa was remanded in custody pending trial.
