Mai TT receives Mercedes Benz from rental company – Popular socialite and comedienne Felistas Murata, popularly known as Mai TT, has received a Mercedes Benz  from a Harare-based company identified as Top Snash Car Rental and Travel.

Yesterday, Mai TT, who is also a brand ambassador of the company, received the gift and expressed her happiness by sharing the news on her social media accounts.

This is barely 3 months after her release from prison after the High Court granted her appeal against conviction and sentence on theft charges.

According to reports, Mai TT was convicted on theft charges in June 2021 for using a hired car as collateral when she borrowed $10,000 from Rachel Mhuka. Despite using the car as collateral, Mai TT had no intention of depriving the owner.

She paid back the loan, meaning she has no more outstanding civil or criminal charges against her regarding the original loan.

The High Court’s appeal judgment quashed the theft conviction, leading to her release, as she did not have the intention to permanently deprive the legal owner.

She had instead used the car as collateral, and her actions did not constitute theft.
