Simbarashe Chadiwa Weeps Bitterly Detailing 9-Year Wrongful Imprisonment for Alleged Rap£, Cleared by Victim’s Confession – Zimbabwean man, Simbarashe Chadiwa’s life took a tragic turn when he was unjustly accused of abusing a young girl, leading to his wrongful imprisonment for nine years.
Simbarashe detailed the ordeal during an interview with Tete Tilda on her radio show.
Rosey, the alleged victim, has now come forward to clear Simbarashe’s name, revealing that her initial confession was coerced by a series of unfortunate events affecting her and her family.
Rosey confessed, “That man never abused me, but I was under immense pressure that I falsely accused him.” The guilt of her actions weighed heavily on her conscience, driving her to rectify the injustice and relieve Simbarashe of the wrongful burden he carried.

The ongoing misfortunes in Rosey’s household further fueled her suspicions that Simbarashe’s wrongful conviction had contributed to their family’s distress. This realization compelled her to speak out and seek justice for Simbarashe.
The incident began innocently enough, with Simbarashe, then 21 years old, and his friend visiting Rosey’s home. However, misunderstandings arose, and Rosey’s mother, returning from Botswana, noticed her daughter’s altered gait, leading to a series of events culminating in Simbarashe’s wrongful conviction.
Individuals like Shadaya have remorsefully shared their views claiming the boy child is not safe;
“Iyi yandirwadza mhani, 9 years dze life yemunhu wasted just like that. Haaaa our politicians and lawmakers s ngavaitewo something about issue ye false rape allegations. Isai mutemo unosunga anyepawo,” he said.
Simbarashe’s story underscores the repercussions of false accusations and the importance of thorough investigations to prevent wrongful imprisonments.
