In a heart-wrenching turn of events, Khomotso Mafolo’s joyous graduation day quickly transformed into a day of profound grief and sorrow. The University of Mpumalanga graduate experienced an unimaginable loss as she tragically lost three beloved family members just hours before her momentous ceremony.

Khomotso, hailing from Motlolo village in Limpopo, was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her father, Jacob Mafolo, her sister Metron Sekgoka, and her twin brother Kamogelo Mafolo, who were en route to witness her graduation.

However, their journey took a devastating turn when their vehicle collided with a truck, resulting in a fatal accident that claimed their lives.

The Mafolo family’s world was shattered as they received the heart-wrenching news that Jacob, Metron, and Kamogelo had all succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash.

The sheer magnitude of the tragedy left their friends and loved ones in a state of profound shock and grief, as they struggled to come to terms with the sudden loss of three cherished individuals.

As news of the tragic accident spread, Mpumalanga Police swiftly responded by initiating an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. According to the South African, the authorities have registered a case of culpable homicide, signaling their commitment to uncovering the truth behind the incident and holding any responsible parties accountable.

Amidst the unimaginable pain and sorrow, Khomotso Mafolo took to her TikTok account to confirm the devastating loss she endured on what was meant to be a day of celebration.

In a poignant tribute, she expressed her love for her father, her twin brother, and her sister, stating,

“Lost my dad, my twin brother, and my sister on my graduation day. They were coming to attend my graduation then God decided otherwise. Daddy, your princess did this for you.”
