Wicknell Chivayo offers to buy Thomas Mapfumo USD200K worth car & USD300K house…..but on one condition – Zimbabwean businessman, Wicknell Chivayo, has offered to purchase a house and car worth USD300K and USD200K respectively for veteran musician Thomas Mapfumo, under one condition, an apology.

Chivayo’s generous offer came after Mapfumo allegedly made derogatory comments about artists who received free vehicles from him.

Mapfumo reportedly claimed that those artists, including Jah Prayzah and Alick Macheso, were poor and desperate for handouts.

Chivayo, who owns Intratrek Zimbabwe, pushed back against Mapfumo’s comments and demanded an apology from the musician before making any form of gift or donation.

The businessman, who is well-known for his philanthropy, expressed his disappointment with Mapfumo’s statements on social media and responded by offering to buy him a $200k car and $300k house in the United States, on the condition that the musician retracts his statements and apologizes.

Taking to his socials, Chivayo had the following to say:

The long-time feud between Thomas Mapfumo and Wicknell Chivayo has been widely documented in the Zimbabwean media. Notably, in 2016, Mapfumo turned down Chivayo’s offer to perform at his “Change a Life” concert, citing the businessman’s alleged association with former first lady Grace Mugabe. Mapfumo also reportedly accused Chivayo of failing to deliver on his monetary promise to the event’s fund.
