Miracle Baby Survives 6 Hours Buried Alive; Mother Arrested for Attempted Infanticide

Miracle Baby Survives 6 Hours Buried Alive; Mother Arrested for Attempted Infanticide – A newborn baby defied incredible odds by surviving six hours buried alive beneath soil after her mother, a 23-year-old woman from Uganda, buried her in a garden immediately after giving birth without any medical assistance. The shocking incident came to light when the mother’s family members discovered blood trails in the garden near their home, leading them to the burial site.

Upon finding the buried newborn at 11 am the next morning, emergency services were urgently contacted. Medical professionals rushed to the scene and discovered the baby still connected to the placenta, showing signs of limb movement but struggling to breathe. The harrowing images revealed the infant covered in cuts and bruises from the pressure of being buried overnight.

Rescuers carefully extracted the baby from the makeshift grave, immediately cleaning her and separating her from the placenta by cutting the umbilical cord. Despite being cold and having bluish skin from the night burial, the resilient baby was placed in an incubator and provided with oxygen through nasal prongs. Miraculously, she had no internal injuries to her vital organs.

After six days in the hospital, the baby was discharged, breathing normally without the aid of oxygen within just 24 hours. Remarkably, she suffered no lasting physical harm from her ordeal.

Following these events, the newborn is now under the care of her grandmother, as her mother was apprehended by local authorities for attempted infanticide. She was initially placed in a correctional center before being transferred to a psychiatric facility, highlighting the gravity and complexity of the situation surrounding the infant’s miraculous survival.
