ZRP Investigates $4 Million Armed Robbery in Bulawayo

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has launched a full-scale investigation. The investigation follows a daring armed robbery at a financial institution in Bulawayo on Wednesday, October 3, 2024.

The heist took place at the corner of 9th Avenue and Fife Street. Six armed suspects targeted a cash-in-transit security team.

According to a statement from the ZRP, the heavily armed robbers confronted the security team. They made off with approximately USD 4 million.

Initial reports suggest that the robbery may have involved an inside job or a leak of sensitive information.

The police are actively pursuing all leads and assure the public they will bring those responsible to justice.

In their statement, the ZRP called for cooperation from anyone who may have information related to the crime.
