ZIMSEC Addresses Exam Leak Rumours

The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has firmly dismissed claims of irregularities during this year’s Ordinary and Advanced Level exams, reassuring the public that all is running smoothly without incident.
Recently, some media reports suggested that schools received improperly labeled exam papers, insufficient copies for students, and unsealed exam packages, causing concerns about potential leaks.
In a statement, ZIMSEC refuted these claims, asserting that the November 2025 exams are secure.
ZIMSEC stated:
“ZIMSEC issues this statement to categorically reassure all candidates, parents, guardians, and the nation that the November 2025 examinations are proceeding as scheduled, with their integrity fully intact. There has been no leakage of any ZIMSEC question paper for the November 2025 examination session.”
ZIMSEC emphasized the strict security measures in place, covering everything from paper preparation to distribution, and mentioned that any minor logistical issues are being managed appropriately.
The council reported high attendance during the exams and praised candidates for their discipline. They thanked school heads, invigilators, and security staff for their professionalism, stating that any malpractice would result in serious consequences.
ZIMSEC encouraged everyone to rely on official sources for the latest information and avoid spreading unverified rumors.
