Former Kaizer Chiefs marksman Knowledge Musona is bagging great cash in Saudi Arabia now, but it was even better for him in Belgium.
Now skippering Al Riyadh in the Saudi Pro League after a successful stint with Al Tai, Knowledge Musona is believed to be earning R10 million annually, even in the twilight years of his career. According to the Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, in 2020, Musona was earning around R18.85 million per year without bonuses. Musona, who was often deployed as an attacking midfielder for Al Tai, scored eight goals and provided nine assists in 29 Saudi Arabia Pro League appearances before earning another big move to Al Riyadh.
Speaking of former Kaizer Chiefs favourites, Erick Mathoho is still on the lookout for a new club but isn’t in a huge rush. After training with SuperSport, Gavin Hunt decided against offering Mathoho a contract before Polokwane City followed suit. On his immediate future plans, he told his fans to wait and see and that he’s not rushing.
“I am just relaxing and attending to some personal staff. I think now I cannot tell where I will be playing this season,” Mathoho told FARPost.
“But when the time is right, people will know about my next move. I think now people can wait,” he added.
