Zimbabweans Shift Online Preferences as P0rn Viewership Declines – In a surprising digital trend, Zimbabweans appear to be turning away from p0rn0graphic content, with recent web traffic statistics showing a notable decline in the popularity of adult websites among internet users in the country.
According to data compiled by SEMrush for the month of July 2025, not a single p0rn0graphic website features in Zimbabwe’s top 30 most visited websites.
The first adult site, x_videos.com, appears far down the list at number 40, registering just over 99,000 visits — a stark contrast to the millions of visits recorded by mainstream platforms.
Topping the list are globally dominant platforms such as Google (8.58 million visits), YouTube (4.72 million), Facebook (2.01 million), and WhatsApp (1.95 million).
Notably, ChatGPT has emerged as the fifth most visited site in Zimbabwe, attracting 1.61 million visits — signaling a growing appetite for AI tools and productivity platforms among Zimbabwean users.

Social media continues to dominate online activity, with platforms like Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and TikTok all featuring prominently in the top 25.
Other popular sites include entertainment and streaming platforms such as Netflix, Goojara, and MovieBox.ng, alongside practical services like ZIMRA, Betting.co.zw, and various Microsoft and educational domains.
Just a few years ago, adult websites frequently featured among the top online destinations in Zimbabwe.
Today, however, their relatively low ranking suggests that many Zimbabweans are choosing more productive, educational, or entertainment-based content in their digital lives.
