Zimbabwean Mother Dumps Newborn Baby In South Africa

In a separate incident, a 27-year-old mother who was arrested for allegedly concealing birth is expected to appear before the Morebeng Magistrate’s Court after the body of a newborn baby was found in an unused plot of land at Ratsaka village in Limpopo.

The incident happened on Thursday, 15 June 2023.

Police spokesperson in Limpopo, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said emergency personnel and police found the newborn baby in the unoccupied yard and he was certified dead at the scene.

Malesela said following investigations, a Zimbabwean woman aged 27 residing not far from the scene was arrested at the same village, on Friday 16 June 2023 at 07:30.
