“Zimbabwean Girls Make The Best Rappers”- South African Rapper Gushes Over Awa Khiwe
Controversial South African rapper and music executive Nota Baloyi has gushed over Zimbabwean rapper Awa Khiwe.
earGround revealed that Awa Khiwe was featured by Chop Daily as part of the prominent HIP-HOP artists on the African content. She was featured alongside Nadia Nakai, Eno Ebony, and Petra.
Taking to the comment section, Nota Baloyi who has always shown his interest in Zim hip hop and rap music gushed over Zimbabwean rappers. He said that Zimbabwean girls make the best rappers.
He went on to declare that Awa Khiwe is a queen when it comes to rapping. “Zimbabwean girls make the best rappers…That’s why I am married to one & taught her to rap. Awa is kween!” he wrote.Nota Baloyi who is currently separated from his ex-wife Berita who is also a Zimbabwean boasted that is why he married her and taught her how to rap.
Social media users concurred that his sentiments that Awa Khiwe was the best hip-hop rapper in Zimbabwe. On the flip side, this is not the first time a South African artist has hyped Awa Khiwe.Last year, South African rapper Siyabinga Nene, professionally known as Big Zulu was caught on camera enjoying and vibing to Awa Khiwe’s hit song Ngeke Bangimele.
In the video which went viral, the Imali Eningi hitmaker can be heard showering praising remarks as he tries to dance along with the rhythm of the song. Awa Khiwe was over the moon after seeing one of Mzansi’s big stars vibing and singing along to her music.
