Young woman dies in Mashava explosion
MASHAVA – Gladmore Nyambi, a 24-year-old woman from Chivi under Chief Madyangove died after a blast occurred while she lit a dumpsite at her homestead.
The incident occurred in King Mine, Mashava last Saturday evening at approximately 8pm.
Masvingo police Spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the case.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating a case of sudden death that occurred on Saturday at 8pm in King Mine, Mashava where a 24-year-old woman died while lighting a dumpsite at her homestead.”
“The woman sustained head injuries and was initially taken to Masvingo Provincial Hospital then transferred to Parirenyatwa Hospital in Harare where she was pronounced dead on arrival.”
“The investigation into the cause of the dumpsite blast is ongoing,” he said.
The police advise the public to be cautious and take necessary precautions to avoid loss of life.
