Globally acclaimed South African producer and deejay Master KG has gushed over high-flying Zimbabwean artist Winky D, hinting that he might attend his album launch.
Winky D announced on his social media pages on 6 December that he will launch his much-anticipated album after three years.
His last body of work, Njema, was dropped on 31 December 2019. On 4 December, Winky D was part of a stellar lineup at the HCM Festival in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, that included Mzansi’s Jerusalema hitmaker Master KG, DJ Tira, Zuma, Reece Madlisa, Dladla Mshunqisi and Zimbabwe’s Jah Signal, among other local acts.“Bigman”, regarded by some as the best live performer in Zimbabwe, delivered a scintillating performance at the festival so much that Master KG acknowledged him as the “goat” (greatest of all time).
Yesterday, Winky shared his album launch poster on Twitter, and Master KG commented, praising the Zimbabwean music heavyweight.
He gushed: “After what I saw on Sunday, when I have time, I would attend all your shows!! YOUR A KING!!! Brother 🔥”
