He was on the run after he committed the crime and the police had appealed to anyone who had information that could lead to his arrest.

However,  The Herald reports that Boss Pangolin was found in Harare just after midnight today locked in his vehicle after drinking an unknown poisonous substance.

It has also been reported that police officers tracked him to a house in Chishawasha where he had sought refuge and found him unconscious in a vehicle before taking him to Parirenyatwa Hospital where he died upon admission.

In a leaked audio that is still circulating on social media, Boss Pangolin confesses that he shot his girlfriend Samantha Dzapata.

According to the leaked audio, Boss Pangolin says they had an on and off rocky relationship marred by cheating and physical abuse.

He said Samantha initially broke up with him in January but he went and persuaded her to reconsider her decision and they rekindled their love.

He said not long after they rekindled their romance, Samantha received a call from an unknown person. Boss Pangolin said Samantha did not answer the call and when he asked for her phone she refused. He said he hacked her phone and discovered that she was cheating with a married man.

Boss Pangolin also said he had no intention of shooting her but he had gone to Samantha’s place of residence to collect the money that amounted to more than US$2000 that he was owed.

He only shot her after she started throwing stones at him.
