Woman Threatens Ex-Lover’s Friend With A Knife For Involvement In Their Breakup
IN a dramatic incident a seemingly scorned woman stormed into her ex-lover’s office and pointed a knife at his friend as punishment for allegedly influencing her former lover to break up with her.
She went on to allegedly kick and punch him before destroying water glasses and a mirror.
A court heard that Hlanganani Khuphe (34) stormed into her ex-lover Mlamleli Nkomo’s office and found him having lunch with his friend Khulekani Mnethwa.
She allegedly grabbed Mnethwa by his neck and accused him of being the one who influenced his lover to break up with her, the court heard.
Khuphe, the court heard, fumbled into her jacket’s pocket and reached for an Okapi knife and pointed it at Mnethwa’s face while threatening to stab him.
After that she took the law into her own hands when she allegedly kicked and punched him, the court heard.
The court further heard after that she charged at her ex-boyfriend accusing him of ditching her and sensing danger he tried to calm her down.
Instead she vented her anger, smashing water glasses and a mirror into pieces before she threw the pieces at him.
She also hurled insults at them. Mnethwa and Nkomo reported the incident to the police leading to the arrest of Khuphe.
She has since appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Makelo Ncube facing two counts of assault and malicious damage to property.
She pleaded not guilty to the charges and was remanded out of custody to 15 August for trial.
