WATCH | Instagram Star Shuts Down DJ Towers’ US$5,000 Date Offer – In a revealing interview on The Denny J Show, Zimbabwean social media figure DJ Towers claimed he once offered US$5,000 to popular Instagram personality Audeng Dee—real name Delight Marwizi—for a single date.
His offer, however, was met with a firm and public rejection.
Marwizi, a student at Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE) and known online by her handle @audeng_dee, responded sharply, dismissing the gesture as inappropriate and unwelcome.
She reportedly told DJ Towers to “approach someone on [his] level,” adding that no amount of money would persuade her to accept his advances.
The development comes just days after Marwizi made headlines for receiving a brand-new vehicle and US$50,000 in cash—a lavish gift from businessman Sir Wicknell Chivayo, handed over by his associate Victor at Exquisite Car Dealership.
The gesture reignited online conversations about social media influencers, digital fame, and the perception of wealth and relationships in the public eye.
Marwizi has recently found herself at the center of a different storm.
Less than a month prior, explicit videos allegedly featuring her circulated across Telegram and other social media platforms, sparking widespread speculation and media coverage.
The leaked footage, described by various online sources as graphic in nature, triggered intense debate around digital privacy, consent, and the ethics of sharing intimate content without verification or consent.
The viral nature of the clips placed Marwizi under enormous public scrutiny.
However, in an emotional Instagram post, Marwizi categorically denied being the individual in the footage.
“To my family, I’m deeply sorry for the stress, worry or disgrace this situation has caused,” she wrote. “I know the video circulating wasn’t me, and I hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive and understand.”
She went on to speak candidly about the realities of modern life in the digital age, emphasizing the need for compassion in an increasingly judgmental world. “Life can be cruel and privacy is often an illusion,” she stated.
“The world craves drama and feeds on others’ mistakes, but remember true strength lies in kindness, empathy, and forgiveness.”

On X (formerly Twitter), Marwizi addressed DJ Towers directly, stating:
“Dj towers kungopihwa 50K akutondiona kunge ndiri type yake😭. Dj tawaz stop posting me. I’m not your content, and I don’t need your weird obsession. Keep pushing and you’ll see harassment isn’t a game. Pls just leave me alone😪.”
Marwizi’s situation is not an isolated one. Her story echoes several high-profile scandals across Africa in recent years, where leaked private content involving public figures or their relatives has made its way into the public domain.
From Nigeria to Equatorial Guinea, such incidents have sparked debates around digital safety, exploitation, and the long-lasting impact of viral content.
Notably, in 2024, Equatorial Guinea was shaken by a scandal involving over 150 leaked videos allegedly featuring Baltasar Ebang Engonga, nephew of President Teodoro Obiang.
The videos, many reportedly non-consensual, prompted widespread condemnation and a renewed call for better protections for individuals in the digital space.
