Warriors Coach Sets Sights on Victory Against South Africa

Warriors coach Marian Marinica has outlined his team’s goal ahead of a crucial Group B match against South Africa on Monday.

Zimbabwe will face their neighbors in a winner-takes-all showdown, with both teams needing a win to secure automatic qualification for the knockout rounds of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Currently, Zimbabwe is in third place in the group with one point, while South Africa holds second with three points.

In a press conference, Marinica emphasized the importance of winning the match to advance.

He stated, “We need to win our last match to qualify for the next round. That is where our focus is right now. There is no room for negotiation; we must win. Our mission is clear—we want to progress beyond the group stages, and that is still achievable.”

The match is set to kick off at 6 PM CAT.
