Victim Found With Stab Wounds To Groin, Hands Near Chinhoyi Church

CHINHOYI — Police in Chinhoyi have launched a murder investigation following the death of 53-year-old Nelson Mhlanga, whose body was discovered on, 28 July 2025 along Robson Manyika Road.

The body story unfolded when residents found the deceased lying on a footpath near a local church, bearing stab wounds to his hand and groin, authorities confirmed.

His sudden and violent death has shocked the community and raised fears over public safety.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the launch of a formal probe via its official Twitter account and has urged members of the public to come forward with any information that could aid the investigation.

“No arrests have been made yet, and detectives are working tirelessly to establish the motive behind this brutal killing,” the ZRP stated.
