US: Teenager Sentenced to 100 Years Over Fatal Shooting – A 15-year-old boy in Indiana, United States, has been sentenced to 100 years in prison after being convicted in connection with a gang-related shooting that killed one woman and injured others.
Jo’Majze Larry, from Anderson, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge David Happe of the Madison County Circuit Court.
Prosecutors said Larry was among four people charged in connection with the death of 26-year-old Dayla Swain, who was killed during a shooting outside a nightclub in February 2025.
According to prosecutors, Swain was not the intended target and was killed during an alleged attempt to target a witness linked to another homicide case.
Larry and his co-defendant Rashawn Samuels, 19, were convicted following a trial.
The court sentenced Larry to 50 years for murder and another 50 years for a criminal organisation enhancement.

Samuels received a 125-year sentence, including 62-and-a-half years for murder and another 62-and-a-half years for the enhancement.
Prosecutors said criminal organisations present a greater danger because of coordinated criminal activity.
“Indiana law recognises that criminal organisations can pose a greater threat to public safety because they coordinate criminal activity, recruit others to participate in crime, and often commit offences for financial gain or to further the goals of the organisation.”
Another suspect, Kyree Craver, 19, was previously convicted and sentenced to 90 years in prison.
A fourth accused person is expected to appear in court later.
Because Larry was under the age of 18 when the offence occurred, prosecutors said he may apply for judicial review of his sentence after serving at least 20 years under Indiana law.
