UPDATE: Wedza Gunman Captured While Trying To Escape Into Mozambique

The manhunt for Wedza triple homicide suspect Jaison Muvevi is now over after his capture by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP).

The suspect is now in custody.

According to law enforcement, the accused was captured yesterday at Changadzi, Chipinge, while attempting to cross into Mozambique.

He is alleged to have been on the run after killing a self-styled white garment church prophet, Wedza’s top cop and a barber.

For context, according to the available information;

“His name is Jaison Muvhevi an ex CID cop. Sources say he has made a fortune from gold and also bought his mom a big badge Benz. Misfortunes started befalling on his family members that his mom went to a prophet to figure out what was taking place. The prophet revealed that Jaison was using juju to make money (akaromba). It then came to Jaison’s ears what the prophet revealed. Jaison went straight to where the prophet was preaching and shot him dead.

Police were called to attend the scene and he shot two of them and killed the Wedza officer in charge.

He’s rumoured to have also killed another person he argued with (a barber).”
