UPDATE | Sibekithemba Sibanda Retracts Claims Over US$8,000 Betting Dispute with MWOS

UPDATE | Sibekithemba Sibanda Retracts Claims Over US$8,000 Betting Dispute with MWOS – Sibekithemba Sibanda, a betting client who recently went public with allegations against local online betting platform MWOS, has issued a formal, handwritten apology following what he has described as a misunderstanding regarding the outcome of his US$8,000 winnings.

In his letter, Sibanda admitted that he prematurely shared information about the dispute online before seeking proper clarification from MWOS or understanding the full context of his bet.

He stated that after engaging directly with MWOS representatives, the matter was professionally explained to him, and he now fully understands the betting rules and the outcome of the transaction.

“I am the owner of the bet number 1999503714 and would like to say that I did not follow the correct procedures to understand the status of my bet before posting it online,” wrote Sibanda.

He went on to acknowledge that his actions may have unfairly portrayed the company in a negative light, and expressed regret over any reputational damage caused.

“I did not mean to negatively publicise false information about MWOS, who up to now I have always had a good and fair business relationship with.”

Sibanda further emphasised the importance of bettors familiarising themselves with betting rules and regulations, stating they are designed to protect both the platform and its users.

He concluded his message by encouraging others to bet responsibly and always seek clarification when in doubt.

This development follows an earlier report in which Sibanda alleged that his account had been blocked and his winnings of US$7,200 had vanished after an initial US$1,000 withdrawal.

He had claimed that MWOS reversed the win citing internal system errors.

The company has since resolved the matter internally, and Sibanda has retracted his claims.

At the time of the initial report, efforts to reach MWOS for comment had been unsuccessful.
