She Kicked Her Child Not A Bucket – Police Rubbishes Claims Slayqueen Who Kicked Child In Video Committed Su!cide

Police have dismissed social media reports that Nthabiseng Nhlapo, the woman who was seen kicking her child in a viral video ended her life by su!cide.

Gauteng police spokesperson Mavela Masondo revealed to Sunday World on Thursday, 17 August that rumours of the woman (who was seen kicking her child in the video) being dead is fak£ news.

Masondo also revealed to the publication that police don’t have a report of such a su¡cide and that the investigation in the case of child abus£ and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm is continuing.

It is believed the child has been removed from Nhlapo’s care and handed over to the provincial department of social development for placement.

“The mother appeared before the magistrate’s court in Johannesburg on Monday. She was released and the matter was not placed on the court roll as the SAPS [South African Police Service] was instructed to first collect both cellphones of both parents for further investigation.”

Rumours of Nthabiseng Nhlapo being dead began on Facebook and trended on Twitter when @AdvoBarryRoux revealed she committed su¡cide.

“Nthabiseng Nhlapo who recorded herself kicking her own son just to send a message to her baby daddy has di£d on after she committed suicide,” tweeted the parody account.

Social media users were in an uproar after the viral video of the woman kicking her child went trended.

In the 13-second video, the child is seen laying on the floor while someone kicks him several times and tramps on his throat and chest area. The child then burst into tears.

@Lebelo_la_: “Sure he is. But no child should grow up without a mother. This girl could go to ja!l be rehabilitated rebuild relations with her son, I bemoan the tragic incident in its entirety. I contend it could’ve been avoided.”
