UAE-Based Zimbabwean Wins Big for Travel Innovation at 2025 Excellence Awards

Zimbabwean businessman Bekokuhle Dube, who operates from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), was honoured last Saturday for his exceptional contribution to the travel industry.
He received the Best African Owned Travel Brand award at the 2025 Professional Excellence Awards held in Dubai, recognising his company Easytravelex for its innovation and customer-focused service.
Dube attributed the company’s success to its use of technology, which has simplified visa applications and payment systems.
“We are very excited with this milestone, just yesterday we were an upcoming travel agency, but today we have been recognised by one of the most reputable boards in the UAE,” he said.
He expressed gratitude to loyal customers who have supported the brand since its inception.
“They always refer new customers to us, and because of them, we are here,” he noted.
He also acknowledged the dedication of his team across the UAE, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, describing their efforts as tireless and essential to the brand’s growth.
In addition, Dube thanked his family and friends for their continued support.
“They have contributed immensely to the development of the brand,” he remarked.
According to the Chronicle, Easytravelex has positioned itself as a key player in promoting Zimbabwe as a tourism destination.
Dube said the company actively encourages international travellers to explore Zimbabwe’s adventure offerings and investment potential.
“Marketing the destination Zimbabwe is our core business. At any given opportunity, we invite people from all corners of the world to visit the country and experience great tourism adventures and investment opportunities,” he explained.
He also credited industry leaders for inspiring his vision.
“As the chief executive officer of Easytravelex, I draw inspiration from Honorable Isau F Mupfumi for outstanding excellence in the transportation and tourism industry,” he said.
He further commended Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Barbara Rwodzi for her commitment to showcasing Zimbabwe’s rich heritage.
Looking ahead, Easytravelex is developing a five-star hotel project named Golden Easytravelex Hotel, with its first branch under construction in Bulawayo.
The hotel is expected to be completed by December 2026, marking a new chapter in the company’s expansion strategy.
