Two Arrested Over Beatrice Armed Robberies Involving Cash, Cellphones & Alcoholic Beverages – The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of two suspects in connection with a series of armed robbery cases that occurred in Beatrice on 5 and 6 March 2026.

The suspects, identified as Conrad Moyo (22) and Milford Sidhakwa (24), were apprehended following a police operation conducted along the Harare–Masvingo Road after officers received a report of an armed robbery incident.

According to police, the first robbery occurred on 5 March 2026 at around 10:00 PM at a bar in Beatrice.

During the incident, a security guard and a bar attendant were reportedly attacked by the suspects before two mobile phones, cash and several alcoholic beverages were stolen.

Acting swiftly on the report received on 6 March 2026, police officers attended the scene and launched a motorised patrol along the Harare–Masvingo Road, which resulted in the arrest of the two suspects.

Following their arrest, police recovered several items believed to be linked to the robberies. These include 20 smartphones, cash amounting to US$780 and ZiG110, two torches, a bolt cutter, a machete, a necklace, an electric shocker and a satchel.

Investigations have since linked the suspects to at least seven armed robbery cases in the Beatrice area. One of the incidents reportedly took place at a motel in Beatrice on 6 March 2026 at around 1:20 AM, where US$371, alcoholic beverages and two mobile phones were stolen.

In another case which occurred shortly afterwards at around 1:45 AM at a plot in Rocklands, the suspects allegedly stole four mobile phones and US$609 in cash.

Meanwhile, police are still searching for a third suspect identified as Shadreck Shava, who is believed to be linked to the robbery spree.
