Truck Container Falls on Two Pickups Near Rhodesville Police Station – A traffic incident involving a truck and two pickup vehicles occurred this morning, at the intersection of Robert Mugabe Road and Glenara Avenue, just a short distance from the Rhodesville Police Station.

According to eyewitness reports, a Ford Ranger and a Toyota D4D had been involved in a minor rear-end collision and were parked at the roadside awaiting police assistance when the incident took place.

While attempting to manoeuvre around the stationary vehicles, a truck carrying a container mounted the pavement, causing its load to shift and eventually topple onto both pickups.

The accident reportedly began when the Toyota D4D rear-ended the Ford Ranger at the busy intersection.

Both drivers exited their vehicles and moved to the side of the road to wait for law enforcement.

Shortly thereafter, a truck approached the intersection, intending to turn from Robert Mugabe Road onto Glenara Avenue.

In an attempt to navigate around the two parked pickups, the truck veered partially onto the pavement.

This caused the container on its trailer to become unstable. The load subsequently dislodged and fell directly onto the two stationary vehicles.

Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were recorded.

Both drivers had already vacated their vehicles at the time of the incident, avoiding what could have been a tragic outcome.
