Man Arrested After Eight Days on the Run for Murder of Three Sons in Tati Siding
Police arrested a 40-year-old man last night in the greater Francistown area after he had been on the run for eight days. Authorities accuse him of murdering his three sons, aged 13, 10, and 8, in Tati Siding’s Mmoroso ward.
Molapisi confirmed to Mmegi Online that the suspect, France, will soon appear before the Francistown Magistrate’s Court.
Police reports state that the father and sons had gone to bed without any apparent issues before the horrific incident occurred. France allegedly killed his three sons with a knife and then attacked his mother, the boys’ grandmother, before fleeing the scene.
The children’s paternal grandmother and father had been raising them, while their mother lived in Francistown. A memorial service for the three boys will take place this afternoon at Tati Primary School.
