Travel Warning Issued For UK Nationals Who Still Use A Red Passport

A warning has been issued to anyone who intends to travel this summer on a red passport.
However, it’s important to be aware of the entry rules that apply to different countries, which are easy to forget. One of them being passport validity rules.
The six-month validity passport rule is applied by a large share of world countries and states that a passport must be valid for another six months before its holder’s departure for international travel.
According to VisaGuide.World there are 70 countries that have a six month passport rule, while another 41 apply the three month passport validity rule, which means travellers can enter their territory if they have a passport that is valid for at least three more months.
This rule is especially important if you still have a red passport, which are no longer being issued after the country left the EU meaning all red passports are due to expire in the coming years. While thousands of people are still able to use their red passports if they’re in date, you must check its expiry date.
