Tragedy Strikes Bayern Munich Youth Camp as Coach Collapses & Dies During Training – A youth football training camp organized by Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich ended in tragedy this week after the sudden d£ath of one of the participating coaches.
Ashgar, an Afghanistan-born coach who had been working with youth players in Austria, collapsed on the pitch during a lunch break at the Feralpi Arena in Riesa, Saxony, where the camp was being held.
Despite immediate medical attention, he later d!ed in hospital, according to German media sources.

The training camp had brought together 119 children from Riesa and neighboring towns, all eager to train under the guidance of Bayern Munich coaches.
However, the mood turned somber after news of Ashgar’s passing broke.
In a public statement, BSG Stahl Riesa, Bayern’s local partner for the camp, confirmed the coach’s d£ath:
“During the lunch break, Ashgar collapsed on the pitch. In the afternoon, we received the heartbreaking news that he had lost his life in the hospital.”
Bayern Munich also issued a statement expressing sh0ck and sorrow, informing parents via email:
“We are all dismayed and shocked by the tragic incident during our FC Bayern Campus training session in Riesa. There are no words for such a situation. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to the family, relatives, and friends.”
Out of respect, Bayern Munich made the decision to end the five-day training camp early. Psychological support services were arranged for all those impacted, including the young participants, parents, and fellow coaches.
Ashgar was a beloved member of Austria’s TSV Hartberg, where he coached an under-13 team. The club paid tribute on Instagram, writing:
“With his always friendly, helpful, and professional manner, he was very popular with all players, parents, colleagues, and officials. His sudden d£ath leaves a deep void in our club.”
