Tragedy Hits FC Platinum Again as U-19 Player Dies After Suspected Poisoning

ZVISHAVANE – A dark cloud hangs over FC Platinum’s Under-19 team following the sudden death of teenage footballer Perfector Shoko, who reportedly consumed poison on Thursday.
The incident occurred in Zvishavane, and despite being rushed to hospital, Shoko died in the early hours of Friday.
The motive behind the suspected suicide remains unclear, and authorities have launched investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.

Shoko allegedly ingested a poisonous substance, though the exact details remain unconfirmed.
Tributes have continued to pour in from across the football community, with many expressing shock and sadness over the loss of such a promising young talent.
As the nation’s football fraternity mourns, Shoko is being remembered not only as a gifted player but as a young life lost far too soon.
