Themba Gorimbo Accuses Mambo Dhuterere of Being a ‘Fake’ Gospel Singer

Zimbabwean MMA fighter Themba Gorimbo has taken to social media to accuse gospel musician Mambo Dhuterere of being inauthentic, branding him a “fake” artist who “twerks” for businessman Wicknell Chivayo in exchange for assistance.

Gorimbo, known for his active presence on platforms like Facebook and Twitter, claimed that his recent defeat in the ring was due to using one of Dhuterere’s songs for his entrance. He wrote, “I made a mistake to use your song in my fight, saka ndakarohwaa. You are also a twerker. Shame.”

In response, Dhuterere remarked that the only distinction between them lies in the venues where they perform. He concluded, “Twerking is twerking, bro. Do you think yours is better because you twerk in America? We received $7,000 from Sir Wicknell’s funding, which we used to drill a borehole for one of our stands.”

Dhuterere added that while he appreciated the help, Gorimbo’s delusions of grandeur were unfounded, stating, “They didn’t help us without benefiting you.”

Gorimbo swiftly countered, asserting, “How many boreholes have I funded? There are now four in Bikita. You got $100,000, and yet you want to brag about just $7? Nyarara shaa. You’re just a fake gospel singer whose actions don’t align with your message.”

He continued, “Before I received any help, I already funded one borehole. You can Google it. After getting assistance, I provided for three more boreholes and school fees back home. I don’t wait for help to make a difference.”
