Student R∆pped and Robbed at Mbudzi
Three armed men attacked and raped a 23-year-old married student nurse at Granville Cemetery, also known as Mbudzi, on Monday night.
The nurse, walking home from work around 9 PM, encountered the men, who threatened her with an axe and hammer. They forced her to walk ahead of them, threatening to kill her if she resisted.
When they reached the cemetery, two of the men took turns raping her while the third stood watch.
The attackers stole her Itel P36 phone, worth $90, and ordered her to leave. She immediately informed her husband, and they reported the crime to the police.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the incident and said the victim was referred to MSF Edith Clinic for medical examination. Police are investigating the case.
