Starlink Sting: Five Arrested for Possessing Unlicensed Kits!
Five men were arrested on Saturday in Harare for allegedly possessing unlicensed Starlink kits, as reported by The Herald.
The suspects—Polite Jamba (28), Ngoni Mandiwo (29), Denver Ndebele (26), Tinotenda Vambe (26), and Lennin Mhiripiri (26)—are set to appear in court on Monday.
Police received a tip that Ndebele and Mandiwo were selling Starlink kits at Easy Walk Mall. Detectives found them with two Starlink Gen 2 kits, valued at US$900, without licenses.
Jamba, Vambe, and Mhiripiri were later arrested while in possession of a Starlink Mini kit, worth US$450, also unlicensed.
The government has urged individuals who imported Starlink kits without licenses to regularize their equipment through authorized entities.
Only Aura Group and TelOne are permitted to resell Starlink services in Zimbabwe.
