South African Man Discovers ‘D£ad Baby’ Was Actually a Doll during Burial

South African Man Discovers ‘D£ad Baby’ Was Actually a Doll during Burial – Mourners recently  discovered a doll in the coffin instead of a child during a funeral for a newborn baby in Mandeni, northern KwaZulu-Natal.

The alleged father, Nkululeko Zulu, aged 44-year-old from Machibini, was left sh0cked and heartbroken after learning that his girlfriend of two years, Diyana Malukeke (44), had allegedly faked a pregnancy and d£ath of their supposed baby.

The bizarre revelation came just moments before the burial.

Zulu had been preparing for the funeral after Diyana, who lives in Newlands, Durban, told him she had given birth and that the child had sadly passed away.

“She used to visit me frequently during the early stages of the so-called pregnancy, but those visits stopped. Then she claimed the baby had d¡ed. I was devastated,” he said.

Wanting to give the child a proper send-off, Zulu arranged for the transportation of Diyana and the “baby” from Durban to his home in Mandeni.

He even organized food for mourners and enlisted the help of local men to dig a grave beside family plots.

However, confusion and suspicion arose when Diyana arrived late and insisted on handling the coffin alone.

Zulu recalled: “My brother asked to open the coffin so I could see the baby and wipe its face. She refused, but he insisted. When the coffin was opened, I nearly fainted. It was a doll dressed in baby clothes.”

In the chaos that followed, Diyana fled the scene and has not been seen or heard from since.

Zulu now says he’s been left emotionally wrecked.

“She kept asking me for money throughout the fake pregnancy. I spent so much preparing for a funeral that never was.”

Since the grave had already been dug, the family ended up burying a goat as part of a cleansing ritual.

Local traditional leader Induna Lungisani Khuzwayo expressed outrage, saying: “This is a disgrace. They didn’t inform us of any d£ath. Now the family must cleanse the village. This kind of deception cannot be tolerated.”

Zulu says he plans to open a case against Diyana at the Point Road Police Station in Durban, as advised by officers in Mandeni.

His friends have also arranged for him to receive counseling to help cope with the emotional toll of the ordeal.

Attempts to reach Diyana for comment were unsuccessful, as her phone rang unanswered.
