South African Family Demands Justice Following K!lling of Pregnant Woman – The tragic killing of a pregnant woman in South Africa’s Limpopo province has sparked public outrage and calls for justice from her grieving family, as the case gains attention across the region.

The Moimane family is demanding swift and decisive legal action following the alleged murder of 31-year-old Botshelo Moimane, who was four months pregnant at the time of her death.

She was reportedly stabbed multiple times on August 19, 2025, allegedly by her boyfriend, Happy Thabo Aphane, a resident of Leeuwfontein, Limpopo.

Aphane was arrested the day after the incident in nearby Elandskraal and appeared in the Marble Hall Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 9, where he was formally charged with murder.

According to court records, members of the local community found Moimane’s body and alerted police.

She was declared dead at the scene.

Tragically, it has also emerged that Moimane had previously reported assault by the accused in May 2025.

However, she later withdrew the charges, resulting in his release around July 2025.

The family believes that this earlier case was a missed opportunity for intervention that might have saved her life.

They have since called on South African authorities to oppose bail in the strongest terms, insisting that Aphane must face the full weight of the law.

His next court appearance for a formal bail application is scheduled for Tuesday, September 16.
