Smooth Criminal? Pool Game Turns Into High-Speed Mercedes Theft
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is investigating a case of vehicle theft that took place at a restaurant on the corner of Josiah Chinamano Avenue and Mazowe Street in Harare on May 17, 2025.
A 31-year-old man lost his C200 white Mercedes Benz after meeting an unidentified woman at the establishment.
In a statement shared on their official Twitter account, ZRP reported that the complainant had been playing pool with the woman when she allegedly stole his car keys from his jacket without his knowledge.
The suspect discreetly exited the restaurant, unlocked the vehicle using a remote and fled at high speed toward Mazowe.
Authorities have urged the public to remain cautious and report any suspicious activity.
Investigations are ongoing as police work to recover the stolen vehicle and identify the suspect.
