Security Guard Jailed for 15 Years After R@ping 14-Year-Old Neighbour and Paying Her $2 to Keep Quiet

At the Harare Magistrates Court, a 44-year-old security guard has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for raping a 14-year-old girl, who lives nearby.

On October 11, 2025, around 5 PM, the girl was walking home from the shops when the guard approached her.

He took her to an unfinished house, where he restrained her, covered her mouth, and assaulted her.

After the attack, he threatened her not to tell anyone and gave her $2 to keep quiet.

However, she immediately told her mother, who then reported the crime to the police.

The guard was arrested, and the girl was taken for a medical examination.
