Scottland Appoints Tonderai Ndiraya as New Head Coach

Scottland, a new team in the Premier Soccer League, has announced the hiring of Tonderai Ndiraya as their head coach.

Ndiraya comes from Simba Bhora, where he helped the team avoid relegation in their first season and then led them to win the league title last year.

While the details of his contract are not clear, sources say Ndiraya has been given a strong goal: to win the league title for Scottland, which is backed by businessman Pedzai “Scott” Sakupwanya.

The team recently secured a US$2.5 million sponsorship for the 2025 season from Sakunda Holdings and Wicknell Chivayo’s IMC Communications, showing their ambition to succeed.

Scottland is actively recruiting top talent to strengthen their squad. Recently, they signed Warriors star Khama Billiat from Yadah, where he had a great season.

He will join fellow Warriors player Walter Musona, the Soccer Star of the Year, who also moved from Simba Bhora. Other new players include Tichaona Chipunza, goalkeeper Talbert Shumba, Mthokozisi Msebe, Albert Manenji, Vasili Kawe, and Tymon Machope.

Additionally, the team has secured Highlanders’ Golden Boot winner Lynoth Chikuhwa and vice-captain Peter Muduhwa. They have also confirmed Kingsley Mureremba from Caps United and Gareth Madhake from Ngezi Platinum.

Rumors suggest that Dynamos captain Frank Makarati and striker Sadney Urikhob may join Scottland, along with winger Michael Tapera from Manica Diamonds.

In their efforts to win the league, Scottland is constructing a multi-purpose sports facility in Mabvuku. This facility will feature a 15,000-seat stadium for home matches and sports courts for tennis, basketball, and netball, as well as a cricket ground, rugby field, and swimming pool, benefiting the local community.
