Ruwa Man Kills Stepfather in Maize Field Dispute

A 29-year-old man from Ruwa has been arrested for allegedly killing his stepfather following a disagreement over a maize field.
The tragedy unfolded in Mabvazuva on Saturday when George Musekiwa reportedly struck 37-year-old Kudakwashe Maramwidze on the head with a hoe during an argument over the land they were tending together.
Despite being rushed to Parirenyatwa Hospital, Kudakwashe succumbed to his injuries, leaving the family in shock.

His body is awaiting a postmortem, while police investigate the incident under case number RRB 6489639.
Kudakwashe’s wife, Chengeto Musekiwa, described the heartbreak.
“We are devastated by this tragic event. We still do not understand why George chose to attack his father.
“They were weeding together when the disagreement escalated,” she said.
According to H-Metro, police are treating the matter as a homicide and have called for anyone with information to come forward.
