Ruben Amorim Talks Manchester United Future Ahead of Europa League Final

Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, has clarified his position regarding his future with the club ahead of the Europa League final against Tottenham.
Despite expressing concerns over the team’s poor performance, he insists he is not planning to resign.
Amorim recently felt “embarrassed” after West Ham defeated United at Old Trafford, marking their first win there in nine matches.
This loss left United struggling in 16th place in the Premier League, having lost 17 games this season.
In a press conference, Amorim emphasized that everyone at the club needs to reflect on the current situation.
He mentioned that if the team’s form does not improve after the summer, they may need to “give space to other people.” However, he firmly stated, “I am far from quitting.”
He added, “Since I arrived, I’ve focused on our standards. It’s important to take responsibility for our results.” Amorim believes he has a “clear plan” to address the team’s issues and is aware of the challenges they face.
Looking ahead to the Europa League final, Amorim confirmed that he would personally cover the costs for his backroom staff’s tickets, as the club has been implementing cost-cutting measures under minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Sky News reports.
He acknowledged that managing the club has been tough due to significant staff changes and layoffs.
“It’s complicated to balance giving support to staff while also making cuts,” he said.
Amorim’s commitment to his team and staff reflects his determination to turn things around at Manchester United.
