Tickets Ranging From $2-$10 Go On Sale For ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023

Boasting an impressive track record of attendance in recent events, Zimbabwe fans are tipped to again fill the banks and stands as tickets go on sale for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier.

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier will be held across four venues between Harare and Bulawayo from 18 June to 9 July, with 10 teams vying for the final two spots at the Cricket World Cup in India later this year.

CWC Qualifier hosts Zimbabwe are among the leading contenders at the tournament, along with past Cricket World Cup winners Sri Lanka and the West Indies.

Tickets have been kept between US$2 and US$10 for the four group matches involving Zimbabwe as well as all the Super Six fixtures and the CWC Qualifier Final.

Group matches not involving the hosts will be free for spectators to attend.

“Fans are the lifeblood of the game and I am excited to see tickets going on sale to the public at such accessible prices,” former Zimbabwe international and Qualifier tournament director Hamilton Masakadza said.

“With the tournament bringing together 10 teams boasting some of the world’s most gifted and talented players, no one will want to miss what is promising to be an unforgettable treat of entertaining and high-quality cricket.

“We are encouraging fans to get early tickets to selected matches and to also turn up in their numbers for the other fixtures where admission will be free of charge.”

Fans can purchase their tickets at cricketworldcup.com, while tickets will be sold at the venue gates each match day subject to availability.

The Cricket World Cup Qualifier begins with the hosts facing a buoyant Nepal in Group A play at the Harare Sports Club on 18 June.

The hosts then welcome the Netherlands on 20 June at the same ground, before matches against the West Indies and USA on 24 June and 26 June respectively.

Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland, Oman and the United Arab Emirates make up Group B.

The top three from each group will progress to the Super Six stage, where each team will play three matches against the sides they did not meet in the opening group phase.

All points accrued in the groups against other progressing teams will be carried over to the Super Six stage, with the top two qualifying for the Cricket World Cup later this year and meeting in the Qualifier Final in Zimbabwe.
