Police Release Names Of Harare-Mutare Accident Victims

A tragic collision on December 10 along the Harare-Mutare Road near Die Guns Turn Off has left three people dead and two others injured. The fatal accident occurred around 3 PM when a Mercedes Benz carrying two passengers collided head-on with a Honda Fit, also carrying two passengers.

The impact was catastrophic, with the Mercedes Benz engulfed in flames, reducing it to a charred shell. The deceased have been identified as Charles Saurombe (31) of Penhalonga, Mutare, Tafadzwa Jemwa (47) of Zambuko Trust, Harare, and Desire Tinarwo (31) of Zambuko Trust, Mutare.

The injured were rushed to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital, where they remain under care, while the victims’ bodies await post-mortem at the hospital mortuary.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police urges motorists to exercise caution, as investigations into the cause of this heartbreaking accident continue.
