Paul Pogba Set to Return to Football After Doping Ban

World Cup winner Paul Pogba could be back on the field soon after finishing his 18-month doping ban.

Pogba tested positive for doping in September 2023 and received a four-year ban. However, after appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), his ban was shortened to 18 months.

As of today, March 11, Pogba is officially free to play again. He was left without a club when his contract with Juventus was terminated on November 15, following his positive test.

Now that he can return, Pogba has been linked with several teams, including his old club, Manchester United. He reportedly spoke with United’s boss, Ruben Amorim, about a possible return, but discussions have slowed down recently. Manchester City has also shown interest, especially as they look to rebuild after a tough season under Pep Guardiola.

However, due to his past with Manchester United, a move to City seems unlikely. Instead, Major League Soccer (MLS) could be a more realistic option for Pogba. His recent attendance at MLS games has fueled rumors about his interest in joining the league.

David Beckham’s Inter Miami is currently seen as the top contender to sign the midfielder.
