Passenger Arrested for Alleged Mid-Flight Sexual Assault on Australia-Bound Plane

A 52-year-old Indian man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman during a flight to Australia.

Sudhir Kumar Chahuan is accused of attacking a female passenger seated next to him on a Scoot Airlines flight from Singapore to Perth on Monday, according to the Australian Federal Police.

The woman immediately alerted cabin crew and moved to another seat. Airline staff monitored the suspect for the rest of the journey after notifying authorities.

Police arrested the man when the plane landed. He now faces charges of sexual intercourse without consent and multiple counts of indecent assault.

Authorities stressed that passengers have the right to feel safe at all times, especially during flights.
