In a statement, the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) condemned the incident, warning dog owners to take responsibility for their animals.

“Letting dogs run loose is not merely a nuisance but a failure of the owner’s legal duty of care a criminal offense that can cost lives,” said the NPAZ.
